Task 1a: 4 speech package:

The first speech package that I found is "Pluto has cryovolcanoes that may erupt icy slush" which is first broadcast on Radio 4, 12 November 2015. The main purpose of this speech package is educate and the program genre is Science. The audience targeted of this package is ABC1C2D and E, who has interested in Space Science. In this package, they discuss about an ideal that Pluto can erupt icy slush, how it could happen and compare it to Earth environment. At the end they said that the scientist still have to carry on so many research to find out it the real thing or not.

The second speech package is "Do introverts make the best dancers?", first broadcast on Radio 4, Sunday 15 November. The main purpose of this package is inform and the program genre is Entertainment. The audience targeted of this package is C2,D and E. In this package, they discuss about what it takes to become a professional dancer, a dancer should be an artist too, and clearly that introverts can't help a person success in dancing.

"Will the Paris attacks make life more difficult for British Muslims?",  first broadcast on BBC Asian Network, 17 November 2015. The main purpose of this package is inform and the program genre is Society. The audience targeted of this package is BC1C2D and E. In this package, they do a vox pops with some different ideals of British Muslims, who may have some effect from the Paris attacks.

"Selena Gomez and the farting carrots", first broadcast on Radio 1, 14 August 2015. The main purpose of this package is inform and the program genre is Entertainment. The audience targeted of this package is C1C2DE. In this package, they make a phone call to Selena Gomez to make a small interview with her in order to introduce her song "Good For You" and her new album.

Task 1b:  Summary

The 4 package that I have found are really different in purport and audience target. The first one is about Space Science, which is for people from 16 to 46, who really have interest in star and cosmos. In this package, they don't use any of music background make people more concentrate on the word, lot of science language help create professional atmospheres. The second one is about Dancing skill, which is for young people from 10 to 25, base on the age they begin to learn to dance. They don't use a lot of music background until the end. The third one is the vox pops so it all about personal ideals, the audience target is people around 18 to 38 who is working with Muslims to hear their opinion and how people treat them after the Paris attacks. this package doesn't have any music background, just have the intro of the channel. The last one is a small interview through telephone with Selena Gomez, which is for people from 15 to 25, who like pop music. Different with the other, this speech package have lots of music background, all of them are Selena's song in order to advertising her new album and makes listener relax and have fun.
